What is an ETF? What are the various types of ETF?
A.

ETFs are exchange traded funds . They are similar to shares in the sense that they can be bought and sold like shares on an exchange platform. The various types of ETFS are:

  • Gold Bees
  • Liquid Bees
  • NIFTY Bees
The nomenclature of each is basis the investment into the asset category.

How do I Invest in Gold BeES?
A.

During NFO: The minimum amount of investment during NFO for Cash is Rupee10000/- and in multiples of Rupee1000/- thereafter. Each unit of Gold BeES being offered will have a face value of Rupee100/- each and will be issued at a premium equivalent to difference between allotment price and the face value of Rupee100/-

Ongoing Basis: Once listed on the exchange, 1 unit of Gold BeES will represent approximately 1 Gram of gold and investors can buy or sell units. The minimum number of units that can be bought or sold is 1 (one) unit.

What type of Account do I need to trade Gold BeES?
A.
  • A trading account with a broker
  • A Demat Account ( since Gold BeES can be settled only in Demat form)
Q.
How are Transactions settled?
A.

Only in Demat account with T+2 rolling settlement.
