SEBI has issued a guideline to all stock broking entities to implement Two-factor authentication for login session for all orders emanating using internet.
Q.
What is Secondary Password?
A.

In order to ensure secure access and client authentication, post login to the website you will be mandatorily requested to set a secondary password. This secondary password would have to be mandatorily entered post first level login to access any services available. Any 3 characters of the secondary password will be asked to access the various services on the website.

Is the secondary password required for SmartTRADE?
A.

No. Secondary password is required for accessing the services available on the website.

Q.
What is the authentication process for SmartTrade?
A.

On login to SmartTrade you are required to enter the bank account number of the default bank account linked to your trading account. If both levels of authentications are successful, only then you would be allowed access to SmartTrade.

Q.
Will my account get locked if I enter incorrect Bank Account Number at second level of authentication at the time of login?
A.

Yes your account will get locked if you enter the incorrect bank account number thrice.

Q.
I do not remember my Bank Account Number. What should I do?
A.
