No. It is not compulsory to have the bank account with any particular bank. However, it may be more convenient to have a bank account with any of the online Payment Gateway alliances we have as it would provide you the flexibility to transfer the funds electronically to enhance your margin limits.
In case, you do not have the account with any of our partner banks, you can still trade by sending us the required margin money through a cheque drawn on any other bank. The credit for the same will be provided in your online trading account on realization of the funds.Mentioned below is a list of Banks through which you can transfer funds to and from HSBC InvestDirect Securities (India) Ltd. online.

If you are a Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation account holder, you can transfer funds instantly to your trading account. Your bank account balance will be displayed on the trading platform, select the same and key-in the amount you want to transfer and click on transfer after post login. The funds will be instantly transferred to your trading account and trading limits increased Alternatively if you have a bank account with one of our partner banks with whom we have a payment gateway alliance, you would have to click on the funds menu and select the move funds option. On selecting the move funds option, enter the amount and select the bank account mapped to your trading account. This will re-direct you to the bank's website where you would have to enter your net-banking user-id and password issued by the bank and confirm the transaction. The funds will reflect in your trading account instantly and your trading limits will be increased.
The credit for the funds transferred via the online banking facility from your bank account to your trading account will be done instantly provided the transfer is successful.
Yes. You can place a withdrawal request during market hours. Login to your trading platform and click on the funds menu and select the withdraw funds option and place a request for the amount you would like to withdraw.
All withdrawal request placed before 5:00 pm will be processed the same trading day and credited to your bank account the following day.
